MESA 40th AnniversaryThe Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) Schools Program at CSU Fresno has been serving students in the Central San Joaquin Valley since 1980. Statewide, MESA has an even longer history, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year! Since its founding at UC Berkeley in 1970, MESA has encouraged students—especially those from underserved populations—to learn about math, engineering, and science in new and exciting ways. Furthermore, MESA has a tradition of preparing students to go to four-year colleges and universities. Many MESA alumni go on to graduate with math and science-based degrees and go into professions in these fields. Locally, we are sponsored by the Lyles College of Engineering at Fresno State.   • The Lyles College of Engineering at Fresno State is having an Open House on Saturday, November 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Click here for more information.
  • Haven't enrolled in MESA yet? It's not too late! Be sure to fill out a 2009-2010 enrollment form. Click here to get started.
  • Planning in advance? MESA Day dates are as follows: Prelims will be on March 13th at CSU Fresno, Regionals will be on April 24th at UC Santa Cruz, and the State Windmill Competition will be on May 8th at UC Santa Barbara.
  • eGFI is a magazine and website from the American Society for Engineering Education (and a great resource for information about engineering!). They recently featured Fresno State MESA in their blog- check it out by clicking here!
